Castle of Monjardín

The Castle of San Esteban de Deyo, also known as the Castle of Monjardín, was built by the Arabs back in the tenth century, and is located just behind the village of Villamayor de Monjardín, just a few kilometers from Luquin.

Those who are interested in visiting the fortress can ask for the key in the local bar in Villamayor, before starting the 40 minute walk all the way up.

Birth of the Urederra river

They say it's the Caribbean Navarra, and really, the impression that leave the christal blue waters of the Urederra is incredible.

At just half an hour from Luquin, this is a precious escape, to spend a day in the reserve and it's surroundings.

Sierra de Andía and Urbasa

Very close from the Urederra special reserve, is the Natural Park of Urbasa and Andía: a natural space filled with an ample variety of geological, biological, ecological, social and cultural values.

This priceless set of values led the Navarra Government to declare these territories as a National Park, in order to guarantee it's conservation in harmoy with the maintenance of it's traditional uses, and new uses associated with the enjoyment of nature.

Roman Village of Arellano

About ten kilometers to the east of Luquin, is the town of Arellano, and six kilometers south from there one finds the restored remaining of a Roman settlement, dating back to between the first and fifth century.

The Roman Village of Arellano (Aurelianum), open to the public from 2008, is unique in it's kind because it conserves the complete wine production process of a roman winery.

The Los Arcos race track

Car and motorbike racing lovers can visit the Los Arcos race track, inaugurated in 2010.
