Luquin
The village
Luquin is a small village in the beautiful province of Navarre, located in the Estella County, at 53,7 kilometers from the Navarran capital, Pamplona. In 2017 it's population was 128 people, although in summertime this amount almost doubles due to locals from the area spending their holidays.

The bar
The town has a nice bar, that plays the role of the local social center, where people meet and talk while enjoying a drink in good company.
Also food is being served, all home made, and at great prices.
And in summer, there is a big terrace where one can sit outside and enjoy the shade.
The swimming pool
Next to the bar, one finds the public swimming pool, half olympic size, and with great meadows to lay in the sun and get a tan. Ideal for spending an afternoon, or even a few days, to take a rest from the Camino.
The church
Despite being a small village, Luquin has 2 churches. Or better said, a church, and a basílica. To the left you can see the exterior part of the San Martin church.
The basílica
The medieval basílica medieval is dedicated to the honour and worship of two saints: The Virgins of the Remedios and the Milagros.
Located just opposite the hostel, it's interior is defenitely worth a visit. In case the door is closed, ask the hospitaleros of the hostel to open it.
